Dream Job: Packaging Design for Starbucks

Victoria Cardona is a Chicago-based Graphic Designer who earned her Associate degree in Fine Arts and will graduate with her Bachelor of Science in Design in December 2026. Having also lived in Metro Detroit, she brings a unique Midwestern perspective to her creative work.

Beyond her studies, Victoria Cardona is an Assistant Store Manager at Starbucks, where her eight-year tenure has deeply influenced her approach to leadership and community. In her spare time, she curates a “cozy-spooky” home aesthetic through eclectic gallery walls, indie-occult art, and collecting oddities. When she isn’t designing or leading her team, she enjoys printmaking, going to live shows with her fiance, and hanging out with her cat.

Lack of Research in Women’s Health: Diagnostic Delays

The Weight of Waiting: A Study of Diagnostic Disparity

The gender pain gap is failing women through a massive lack of medical research and systemic clinical bias. Historically, healthcare systems have relied on male-centered data which leaves  women searching for answers. Pain is often dismissed causing conditions like heart disease, autoimmune diseases, and endometriosis to go undiagnosed or misdiagnosed for years. This exhibit uses a slider alongside a timeline to mirror this burden. As the resistance increases it represents the physical toll of waiting for a diagnosis. Through the headphones, you are invited to listen to real stories of women navigating these journeys. This cycle is built on a disregard for female physiology. We must hold the medical industry accountable through research equity so that women’s health is no longer treated as an afterthought.
