Gender-Affirming Healthcare

Trans Rights are Human Rights

Transgender people face barriers like discrimination, limited access, legal restrictions, and high costs. Many providers lack training, leading to inadequate care, while insurance and geographic limitations make treatment inaccessible. Legal restrictions, such as state bans and parental consent laws, further hinder access, especially for minors. These challenges contribute to severe mental health impacts, including higher suicide rates. Misinformation and gaps in research worsen disparities in care.

Addressing these issues requires policy reform, better medical education, and expanded access to affirming healthcare. Gender-affirming healthcare is essential, life-saving care that supports the well-being of transgender individuals by providing medically necessary treatments tailored to their identities.
