The mental health crisis amongst teens has, over the years, intensified alongside the rise of social media. Over the last decade alone, platforms that were designed for connection have become tools that have reshaped the way young adults see themselves. Understanding the relationship between social media and how it is affecting today’s youth is essential. While social media can foster community and creativity, the design is to prioritize usage over consumer care. This issue calls for accountability. awareness, and compassion; finding solutions that protect the mental health of young adults in an ever increasingly connected world.
