Dream Job: Designing Packaging for Beauty Brands

Phoebe is set to graduate with a BS in Graphic Design in May 2025. Her deep admiration for the arts has always drawn her to the world of design. Working the opening shift at her Starbucks, earning her degree has been no small feat, built over late nights and early mornings. Juggling the demands of work, school, and life has been a rewarding challenge. Phoebe’s favorite part of the design process is seeing a design go from a sketch to a tangible piece of design out in the world. She thinks it’s a feeling that never grows old. As a loving wife and cat mom, Phoebe credits much of her success to the unwavering support of her husband & family. Looking forward to any & all opportunities in graphic design, Phoebe is eager for what the future holds.

Divided by Connection: The Paradox of a Digital World

Digital Divide addresses the gap between those who have access to reliable internet and technology and those who do not. In an increasingly digital world, nearly every aspect of life, from education, to work, to healthcare, relies on access to the internet. Millions of people, especially in rural or low-income areas, lack adequate access to the devices and connectivity required to thrive in an increasingly technology dependent society. This divide not only limits access to vital resources but also creates inequality for the underserved populations who are unable to participate in the world going digital. Addressing this divide is crucial for creating equal opportunities for all.
