Mental Health in the Workplace

No One Cares Work Harder

The average American is struggling with mental health in the workplace and while it has been acknowledged and things have started to change they aren’t changing quickly enough for many. The stigma that surrounds mental health especially within the workplace creates an environment that is unsupportive and at a high risk for burnout. The average work week consists of around 40–60 hours per week and if boundaries between work-time and personal time are ignored it can cause strain on one’s mental health. If the American population had a better relationship with their workplace there would be significant improvements within productivity as a country and the happiness and healthiness of the American people.
