PFAS
Forever Chemicals, Lasting Damage
PFAS are manmade chemicals used in everyday products for stain, water, and grease resistance. They are called “forever chemicals” because they break down extremely slowly and can build up over time. PFAS move through water, food, and household dust, which makes exposure hard to avoid. Studies link certain PFAS to serious health concerns, and they are now found in people and the environment worldwide. Filtering water helps, but it does not solve the root problem. Real change requires reducing PFAS at the source, holding manufacturers accountable, and setting stronger limits on what can be produced and released.
