The 2024 PIT count showed that 771,480 people experienced homelessness across the whole U.S. in a single night. Making it the largest number ever recorded. The numbers represent an 18% increase from 2023. The increase included sheltered and unsheltered individuals and families. With these types of numbers it becomes increasingly worrying that more and more people are becoming unsheltered. With the increase in rent and homeowning many middle and lower class get pushed to the streets, especially with the wages not increasing enough to match cost of living.
