Generational Trauma
The Yarn on Generational Trauma
Generational trauma refers to the transmission of pain, behaviors, and emotional patterns from one generation to the next. It often stems from unresolved experiences such as abuse, discrimination, war, or systemic inequality. Over time, these inherited wounds can shape how families communicate, cope, and connect with others. My project explores how acknowledging and addressing generational trauma can lead to healing, understanding, and breaking harmful cycles. By bringing awareness to this issue, I aim to highlight the importance of empathy, open dialogue, and mental health support across generations.
