Josie is a Graphic Designer based in the state of Michigan who will be graduating from ASU with a degree in Graphic Design in May of 2026. She has earned Bachelor’s in Computer Graphics at Lansing Community College while diligently working for the Michigan State legislature. She completed an internship with The Portal, a locally owned book and game store in 2021. While continuing to work with The Portal on various design projects, she has been able to further develop her design skills related to logos and advertisement materials. In her spare time, Josie loves creating mixed media artwork and interacting in her local community.

The creation and use of generative AI poses many dangers. As the third generation of artificial intelligence, generative AI has the ability to “create” new content by processing vast amounts of preexisting data. Which has led to many questions about the ethnicity of generative AI, relating to copyright law and privacy concerns. While many are beginning to understand how the use of generative AI negatively affects creatives such as artists and musicians. I want to focus on some of the lesser known impacts the use of generative AI has on the environment, individuals’ health and our society as a whole.
