Political Polarization From Media Sources

Same Country. Different Feeds.

This project explores how political polarization is shaped by where people get their news. As media has shifted from shared national broadcasts to personalized digital feeds, audiences increasingly consume information that reinforces existing beliefs. Algorithms prioritize engagement, often amplifying emotional or extreme content, which contributes to echo chambers and divided realities. Through data visualization, headline framing comparisons, and interactive design elements, this project examines how news consumption patterns influence public opinion. By highlighting generational media differences and the role of social platforms, the work encourages viewers to reflect on their own information habits and consider how diversified media consumption can help bridge ideological divides.
