Cults

Hidden Agendas: The Impacts of Coercive Control Through Cult Abuse

Cults remain a persistent global concern. Often characterized by coercive control, psychological manipulation, and abusive practices, these groups frequently operate unnoticed until significant or even lethal harm has occurred. Through the courageous testimonies of survivors and the research of subject-matter experts, we have gained critical insight into how such organizations recruit, indoctrinate, and retain members. This growing body of knowledge only serves to emphasize the importance of public awareness and education. By equipping individuals with a clearer understanding of common warning signs and recruitment tactics, we can ideally help to reduce vulnerability, limit the reach of exploitative groups, and mitigate the overall systemic harm they inflict.
