Phone Addiction

Are You Addicted? The Impact of Phone Addiction

Phone addiction is a growing behavioral issue characterized by excessive and compulsive engagement with mobile devices. Individuals may feel anxious, restless, or irritable when separated from their phones, often prioritizing screen time over real life responsibilities and relationships. Constant notifications, social media scrolling, and instant access to entertainment can overstimulate the brain’s reward system, reinforcing repetitive use. Over time, phone addiction can contribute to decreased attention span, disrupted sleep patterns, reduced productivity, and mental health concerns such as anxiety or depression. Recognizing unhealthy usage habits and setting boundaries are important steps toward building a more balanced and mindful relationship with technology.
