Dream Job: Concept Artist / Storyboard Artist

Back when Blockbuster was still a thing, Chris Lawrence loved watching all the behind-the-scenes content. His favorite part was seeing concept artists bring characters and worlds to life. Among them, Ralph McQuarrie stood out with his retro-futuristic art style, offering a unique vision unlike anything else. As Chris delved deeper into sketching and art, he discovered Jim Lee, who became his greatest inspiration and heavily influenced his current artistic style. Chris currently practices and post artwork on social media. Looking ahead, he aspires to become a professional concept artist, designing creatures and characters across various forms of media.

Pollution In Our Oceans

Our Ocean, Our Future

Over the last decade, over 175 million metric tons of seafood have been consumed globally. In 2022 alone, it was recorded that everyone in the United States had eaten at least 20 pounds of seafood individually. We are growing more and more dependent on Seafood each year, which is why pollution is such a problem. Every minute, the equivalent of one garbage truck of plastic enters the ocean. By 2025, there could be more plastic than fish in the ocean by weight. Over 100,000 marine mammals in 1 million sea birds die annually due to plastic entanglement or ingestion. We need to be aware of what we can due to stop the further growth of pollution, and what we can do to fight back against it.
