Human Trafficking

Exploitation and Enslavement

Human Trafficking is “the fastest growing international crime network the world has ever seen.” (Monteverde et al., 2024) Trafficking encompasses forced child labor, sex trafficking, and domestic servitude. When people are trafficked they are taken, harbored, and/or transported against their will through coercion, force, or fraud for their own personal gain. Victims in most cases have had their freedoms stripped away and suffer from symptoms such as identity loss, PTSD and other mental and physical health issues.
