Unemployment
Severance Finances: Effect of Unemployment on our Economy and Social Structure
Unemployment is highly dependent on growth, recession and economic activity. They can be thought of as two sides of the same coin. A labor market with high turnover, imbalances, and a rise in long-term unemployment leads to such. It reflects the overall health of the economy, causing financial hardship for individuals and families. It negatively impacts the nation’s production and purchasing power. Leading to reduced consumer spending. It can also cause a decline of people in the workforce and create a cascading effect throughout the economy. Analyzing unemployment helps economists and policymakers assess labor market conditions and potential size of the labor pool. With the right policies and ideals, a system can be created where the issue is minimized exponentially.
