LGBTQ+ Youth Rights
Blocked: The Reality of Our LGBTQ+ Youth
Children are losing the safety to be their authentic selves. Everyone deserves the choice and right to live authentically, without fear of discrimination, violence, or exclusion. LGBTQ+ youth are being denied inclusivity. This denial puts them at greater risk for depression, anxiety, and suicide. There are several states whose policies restrict and or criminalize the rights of our children. To draw attention to this issue, communications need to be designed that influence LGBTQ+ youth, their families, educators, and local policymakers. It is these groups whose attitudes directly impact the safety and rights of our children. By establishing a voice, we can raise awareness regarding the lack of inclusivity among LGBTQ+ youth.
