Climate Change and Public Health

Rising Heat, Rising Risk: Climate Change is a Public Health Crisis

Climate change is no longer just an environmental issue but a growing public health emergency. Rising temperatures are increasing heat related illnesses, worsening air quality, and intensifying natural disasters that displace communities. Vulnerable populations, including children, the elderly, and low income communities, are disproportionately affected. Wildfire smoke pollutes the air we breathe, extreme heat strains our bodies, and changing climate patterns expand the spread of infectious diseases. Hospitals and public health systems are being pushed beyond their limits. Individual actions alone are not enough. We must demand stronger policies, corporate accountability, and systemic change to protect both our planet and our health before the damage becomes irreversible.
