Mental Health of veterans
They Save Us, Now Let’s Save Them.
Mental health has become more prevalent and less stigmatized recently with more resources available for those who need help. This is not quite the case with Veterans, and mental health is still stigmatized and resources for our country’s heroes are not as easy to access. There are many mental health problems that Veterans face, such as anxiety disorders, adjustment disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, drug and alcohol misuse, and depressive disorders. These heroes are our friends, loved ones, and family members. It’s extremely important that Veterans start getting easier access to mental healthcare and get the help they need and deserve.
