Andrea is a Designer based in Arizona graduating in May 2026. She completed her internship in 2023 with a local web developing company, Eightfold Tech. Since then, she took the opportunity as a Junior Graphic Designer for Eightfold, where she gets the pleasure of animating and practicing UX/UI design. The Power of the Page: Books Under Fire
For centuries, people have attempted to control what the public has access to. The most commonly banned books are topics that touch on religion, morality, or politics. Today book banning is done in schools and libraries and they receive proposals by political or religious pressure groups. In the past two years, there has been a 38% increase in propositions to ban books and over 10,000 books were proposed in the 2023-2024 school year.
