Ana Cobas Rodriguez is a Las Vegas–based Graphic Designer graduating from Arizona State University in Spring 2026. Through a Summer 2025 internship, she further developed her skills in branding and visual identity, applying her academic training to real-world design challenges. She strengthened her ability to translate concepts into cohesive visual systems while refining her technical precision and creative problem-solving. She aspires to pursue a career in apparel graphic design, merging culture, storytelling, and community into wearable design. Outside the studio, she enjoys exploring national parks with her boyfriend, reading, binge-watching shows, and spending time with her dogs.

The Cost of What We Throw Away

Food waste in the United States is a growing environmental and economic crisis. Nearly 40% of food produced is lost or discarded, contributing significantly to greenhouse gas emissions and placing strain on land, water, and labor resources. Households represent the largest share of waste, yet systemic factors such as overproduction and retail standards also play a major role. As food waste increases, so do grocery costs and environmental consequences. Addressing this issue requires awareness, accountability, and collective responsibility across all sectors of the food system.
