Human Trafficking (or modern day slavery) is an ongoing form of organized crime that attracts billions of dollars from the mental and physical exploitation of individuals from social media to the real world. Innocent people of every race, gender, and identity can be manipulated or forced away from their communities to perform heinous acts that involve topics such as domestic servitude and sexual intercourse. Shamefully, seventy percent of staff within the U.S State Department have been removed by the Trump Administration. Some of the responsibilities of The U.S State Department include the prevention of violent extremism, the protection of women’s rights, and providing federal assistance to survivors rebuilding their lives that were violated for capitalistic profit or selfish satisfaction.
