CLIMATE CHANGE & ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE

Voices Unheard

Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns, mostly driven by human activity. It leads to rising temperatures, extreme weather, and natural disasters, but the effects are not felt equally. Low-income communities and people of color often live in areas with higher environmental risks and fewer resources to recover.
This imbalance creates more profound issues around health, safety, and equity. Environmental justice is about recognizing these disparities and demanding fair treatment and protection for all communities. Through design, we can raise awareness and help others understand that climate change isn’t just about the planet; it’s about people.
