National Park Preservation

Time could be running out. Only you can vote for change.

There are major threats facing our U.S. National Parks, from climate change, to budget cuts and losing the land for profit. Climate change is damaging ecosystems in national parks. Some plants and animals may struggle to survive as their habitats change or disappear. Some recent policies have opened the door to selling or leasing public lands and national parks for profit, including: oil drilling, mining, and logging. Allowing development so close to protected areas and threatening further development puts the parks’ ecosystems at risk. Budget cuts have led to fewer park staff, making it harder to handle maintenance, safety, and visitor support. Many parks now operate with limited rangers and resources, with loss in conservation and research. Only you can vote for change for the future of our National Parks.
