Food Insecurity

Access Denied: Seeking Stability

Food insecurity is a complex social issue that limits families and individuals from accessing affordable and nutritionally adequate food. Barriers such as limited proximity to grocery stores, rising living costs, and transportation challenges disproportionately impact marginalized communities. These external factors contribute to health complications reinforcing a sickly cycle of poor health and poverty. Addressing these disparities requires community investment, policy change, and improved access to affordable, nutrient-dense foods to support overall physical, mental, and social wellbeing.
