Prison Reform
A Broken Cycle Worth Fix
The U.S. prison system emphasizes punishment over rehabilitation, leading to cycles of incarceration that harm individuals and communities. Overcrowding, harsh conditions, and limited access to education or mental health support prevent successful reintegration. Formerly incarcerated people face stigma and few opportunities, increasing the likelihood of reoffending. Prison reform seeks to restore dignity, expand rehabilitation programs, and create pathways for reentry. Real change requires policy reform, public awareness, and a focus on systems that prioritize accountability, restoration, and long-term community well-being.
