Olivia is graphic designer from the metro Detroit area of Michigan, and will be graduating with a bachelors and graphic design from Arizona State University in May 2026. Olivia has gone around and secured freelance design gigs, whether it be running social media pages or creating flyers for events, she has become a reliable creative asset to those in her area. In her spare time, she enjoys working with traditional art mediums, specifically ceramics, and is currently working on getting into silversmithing to make jewelry. What does it really cost to use ChatGPT?
Our 21st-century lives are centered around comfort, from DoorDash to social media, to artificial chat bots and Disney-style generated images. AI, and namely ChatGPT have become a staple tool, over what seemed to be overnight in millions of peoples lives. But what is the real cost of using this search engine? We are predicted to have millions of Job losses across the nation, not to mention, are already seeing the effects within our environment. The immense water usage for the behemoth cooling centers needed to run such technologies, and the massive amounts of energy necessary to create even the simplest of responses.
