Preserving The Cultural and Historical Value of Video Games
Many older video games are no longer accessible due to delisting, age, server shutdowns, and Digital Rights Management (DRM) restrictions. Losing these games erases not only cultural and artistic history, but also the sources of the technological innovations they inspired. Legal grey areas create disputes not only between companies, but also for the end users dictating what media they can enjoy, including how they enjoy it.
