Kassidy is a Graphic Designer and Print-Maker based in Kansas City, Missouri. Her design career began in 2019 at Kansas City Art Institute studying Illustration. After COVID, she paused higher education to pursue her personal brand, FLCTUATE. This project focused on celebrating the unknown through screen-printing and utilizing secondhand materials. After developing her personal brand, Kassidy found herself wanting to explore Graphic Design, ultimately leading her to enroll at ASU. During her studies, Kassidy found joy in personal projects like illustrating lyric posters, creating visual identities for KC businesses, and making excuses to print-make as much as possible. While she is unsure of what is next for her career post-graduation, she would be overjoyed to find work that transcends singular mediums, especially in music, food, or fashion.

Oversaturation of Short-term Rentals
The Airbnb Effect
Over the past ten years alone, communities across the world have seen exponential growth in the number of short-term rentals. While this can be seen as a positive for the economy on the surface, the long-term effects can destroy neighborhoods and hinder long-term growth. The Airbnb Effect explores how unsustainable these properties can be through real-life examples and impacts. Communities need stability to thrive, and they cannot do so when there are no continuous tenants to contribute to the small businesses, take interest in their property, or care for their neighbors.
