Book Banning

Book Banning

Across the United States, books are being removed from shelves simply for promoting ideas that people are uncomfortable with. It is imperative that we challenge this way of thinking and advocate for the freedom to read because the precedent this sets is extremely dangerous. When we censor the books in our libraries, we limit our capacity to understand experiences other than our own. We close the door to empathy and avoid the crucial conversations that lead to real learning and growth.
