Dream Job: Senior designer at an independent studio focusing on print
Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Isabella will be graduating summa cum laude with a BSD in Graphic Design in May 2026. After completing her BA in Political Science at Tulane University in 2020 and entering the workforce at a time of uncertainty, she took the opportunity to re-evaluate her career path and choose something that she would find much more fulfilling. She recently began a graphic design internship with Do You Convert, a digital marketing and online sales consultant firm for home builders. This internship turned into a part-time job, and hopefully a full time job upon graduation! As a lover of art history, she takes a lot of design inspiration from the past. In her free time, Isabella enjoys cooking, photography, fashion, reading, warm weather, and her cat.
Cat Overpopulation
Tough Choices: What we owe to our feline companions
Cats and humans have been companions for the past 10,000 years. Originally used as rodent control on ships, we spread cats to every continent except Antarctica. Currently, there is a crisis of overpopulation. Despite a high number of kitten mortalities, large numbers of cats maintain steady populations in urban environments. These unsustained populations result in unnecessary suffering, the spread of disease, and a negative impact on local ecosystems. Fortunately, there are a number of solutions that work to mitigate this damage: adoption, TNR, and euthanasia. It is essential for the welfare of these animals that we raise awareness of this problem and its solutions, as well as support the organizations doing this thankless work.
