Emily is a Graphic Designer based in the State of Indiana who will be graduating from Arizona State University in the Summer of 2026. She has been working on freelance jobs for companies owned by her friends and family, which has given her great experience in logo design as well as promotional poster design. In her spare time, Emily loves visiting her home state of California, writing music, singing in her band with her husband, and hanging out with her two cats.  She also enjoys teaching pilates classes and helping people commit to a healthier lifestyle.

Awareness for Preparedness: The Impact of Natural Disasters

The increase of global surface temperatures is leading to more powerful storms that cause catastrophic events such as hurricanes, tornadoes, and wildfires. Certain demographics prove to be more at risk due to a community’s precautions in select areas. Low income communities, those without the means to relocate, and those located in disaster-prone areas are more at risk due to a lack of resources and preventative infrastructure. It is more crucial than ever to understand your risk and have an emergency preparedness plan for when disasters strike.
